"I have really loved being an Art Vistas docent in my daughters 5th grade class this year! It's been one of my favorite parent-led programs at the elementary level—the kids are so engaged and the lessons are so well scripted that they are easy to deliver, even if you know nothing about art. My only regret is that I didn't do it in previous years."

"I am so glad that we have the Art Vistas program at our school. The diverse artists and artwork covered in each lesson is wonderful. I especially love seeing my kids artwork displayed at the year-end art show! My kids are so proud of their masterpieces."

"Art Vistas is a fabulous program that provides students with the creative opportunity to explore art through a variety of hands on activities. At the end of the year student work is showcased at a school-wide art show. Students are always very eager and excited to show their friends and family the wonderful art pieces they have created."

"Art Vistas is sometimes the only exposure that some students will have to fine art and artists in their lifetime. It offers another way for students to express their opinions and understand emotion and expression through art and creating art. It also gives parents an opportunity to get involved in their school and ultimately their community. Art Vistas has made such a huge impact for our school. Having both taught and been the organizer of the program for our school, the program benefitted over 600 kids. I still have students coming up to me years later that remember me as the ‘art lady’ and reciting what they learned from the lesson plan and what projects they did that they still have! The impact and impression is far reaching!"

"I am the first Art Vistas alumnus to return to the program as an adult volunteer. I remember Art Vistas days in elementary school were so much fun, especially when we did hands-in projects where I felt like I created a masterpiece! Those early experiences helped me grow creatively and introduced design skills that eventually became part of my professional career -- which is why it was so exciting for me to return and contribute to the website and the 25th Anniversary event. As Art Vistas celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, I now look forward to helping with outreach, building partnerships, and growing the volunteer network that will bring engaging art experience to a new generation of students!"
